  • 1st Oregon State Championship Series race moved to MAC. Please be aware that there's been a venue change for the first 2 races of the Oregon State Championship Series to be held at PARC and PKA's track in McMinnville. The first race will take place in McMinnville and the 2nd race has been moved to PARC in Canby. The change is due to scheduleing conflicts for both groups and tracks. Both groups were in agreement that swapping the locations for the first 2 races would solve many logistical and scheduling problems for both facilities. Stay tuned for more info about the series.

  • For 2008, a single karting Sprint Series has been established in the Greater Portland Area. The “08 Oregon State Championship Karting Series” has been organized by Portland Karting Association and Pats Acres (PARC). The two organizations will work together to promote one single series, as opposed to each running their own series. This should dramatically increase the size of the races held this coming year. With bigger and better attended events, it becomes easier to promote and grow the local karting scene. The result will be bigger classes and better competition which is what most racers are looking for. The dates for the Series can be found on our front page on the right hand column or by selecting the “schedule” page.

In an effort to accommodate racers from both track, a membership from either PKA or PARC will be honored for race entries and Saturday practice days prior to a race.

The classes offered as championship classes (awards and jackets) will be as follows:

    Kid Kart
    Jr I Animal Cadet
    Tag Cadet (Gazzelle only)
Jr II IKF BRIGGS World Formula
    TAG Junior
    IKF BRIGGS World Formula Senior
    TAG Senior
    IKF BRIGGS World Formula Heavy
    TAG Masters
    Stock Moto S3/S4/S5 (Light/Heavy/Junior)

The Series will include the Regional GoldCup races held at each facility. Championships will be decided by the best 10 of 12 results (two throw-aways). The series will run entirely on Bridgestone YHC tires. Stay tuned for more details or contact either PKA or PARC for questions. See ya at the track.
